The Office of Fair Trading and the Royal Mail wanted to offer consumers greater choice in a market that was dominated bt two manufacturers. In 2008 Mailcoms were awarded Authorised Independent Inspector & Maintainers of postal franking machines. Mailcoms offer their own range of franking machine ink and labels. A family run business that prides itself on customer service, Mailcoms has grown from humble beginnings to become one of the leading UK Franking suppliers. Mailcoms has expanded in the last 10 years to an annual turnover in excess of £2 million and employs 20 staff. Their portfolie of clients of over 15000 customers include small businesses to large corporate organisations. They have established themselves as a leading online retailer for Franking machines and inks. Mailcoms were the first UK franking supplier to operate without commission based sales team. Ensuring prices were competitive and utilising modern sales and marketing techniques to reach their audience. In 2011 they acquired purpose built premises enabling them to carry extensive stock and house a ink cartridge recycling facility.
